Does anyone know how to file a motion?

I was just advised by a email consulation form a lawyer that in order to reinstate my bankruptcy case, I could either A.) refile for bankruptcy or B.) pay the rest of the $150 bankruptcy fee I owe and file a motion with the court requesting that the case be reinstated.

My question is, how exactly do I go about in filing a motion to the court? Do I write a general letter or is their a form to fill out? Any info. about this is appreciated. Thank You.

Hi Deana, thanks for the reply. What type of information do you need about my case?

        Info

At the top of your legal documents from your original case, there is something like this:

        US BANKRUPTCY COURT
FOR THE MIDDLE DISTRICT OF PENNSYLVANIA

In re: John Doe, Case No. 98-07897
        Debtor.

If you need me to file the motion for you, I will need the above from your case, as well as when your case was dismissed, the reason why you want your case reinstated, the amount of the fee needed to reinstate your case, your address, so that if you file this motion, the court can notify you via mail when your hearing is, etc.

If you have further questions, please email me at [email protected]
