    401 k

    Went to my 341 today.

I have a 401 k - My Trustee advised that I have to repay 180 days worth of monies I have put in my 401 k prior to my filing bankruptcy!! I was under the impression my 401 K could not be touched? I did not take out a loan or anything just my normal bi- weekly contribution. I am confused!!!

Your 401k can't be touched. However I guess the trustee feels that you were making contributions with disposable income that could have paid your bills, so he wants it. 180 days is a bit unreasonable. I would figure 60 or 90 but 180? Boy are some people greedy

I hear you...Makes me wonder what? Are we supposed to sacrifice for these bloodsuckers?

Well, be happy he didn't demand a whole year worth!

BTW, the trustee can "Seize" future payments so he's not touching your 401, just the cash before it goes in.
