    How long between BK?

Hi there. I filed Chapter 7 in Colorado in 1999. Well, it was filed in '99 and discharged in '00. What I need to know is, how long before I can file again? I was laid off from a job and have once again lost everything trying to keep afloat. I now live in Nebraska if that makes any difference? Just looking for answers, I tried going through your forums here, but didn't come up with an answer.
    Thanks.

OK, I found out that I have to wait 6 years between filing, but is that 6 years from the filing date or from the discharge date? TIA!

Sorry to know that your financial woes haven't improved.

You can file for chp 7 once every six years. You can petition for a chp 13 though.

        Good Luck!

I need to research this, but what about the payments on CH 13? Would they be astronomical? I mean, if I can't afford all this stuff now, I won't be able to afford them anytime soon either. So will they make the payments small or do I basically need to divide 50k by 3 years and figure out what that would be monthly? How long do they give you to pay off a CH 13? Your help is MUCH appreciated, Todd!!!

            Possible solution!

If you have owned your house for 12 months, try to refinance. I work with bad credit. Call me 941-447-5998

            Regards,
