One More Day til Filing Day!

I have one more day til my bk attorney starts the process and I get to run my dirty laundry through the 90 day cycle and if I'm lucky I won't miss the extra spin and rinse cycle. I'll make sure I use lots of bleach!!!

It has been stressful, depressing, nerve racking and exciting all in one breath. The next 90 days will be all emotions squared. Declaration of debt makes me nervous. The thought of leaving something obvious off the declaration leaves a lump in my throat. Debt we forgot about. Earned Income we left off the taxes.

Friday will be the beginning of a new way of life...Debt free forever.

Bye bye CC's and CA's (Except Studen Loans), you will miss me

Good Luck as you begin your journey down the "road" to being debt free.

Remember to keep paying your utilities, auto and home if you plan on keeping them..... and you must reaffirm before discharge date.

Hopefully you will not be throwed into a Chapter 13 for some reason...

I know that feeling of declaring your indebtedness, I recall feeling really sad on the day I filed, sad that I hadn't figured out some other way.

As it turns out this is not so bad. Doesn't make the top 10 list of things I've done in my life that I am proud of but probably won't make the list of the worst things I have done either.

I now view it just sort of neutral. Neither good or bad, just had to happen in order to be able to have some peace of mind. That is what is has done for me. Peace of mind for me comes through honestly living within my means on a daily basis. Something I had not done and then could not do when the credit got out of hand.

You will be ok, we are here for you and all know what you might be feeling. Let us know how things go.

StopNAF, good luck to you! You'll be fine. Since you are a post Oct 17 filer I just want to ask you a question that most of us here have been wondering and that's regarding the cell phone & internet access expense on the means test. Since you probably have 1 or both were you allowed to list these expenses under "telecommunication services" / line 32 or is line 32 for something else. I'm still confused and wondering if these telecom expenses are only covered under housing expenses or can be added in line 32.

Thank you in advance and best of luck to ya!

What Minny said: Most of us have made it through the BK process, we have ridden the emotional roller coaster and got off, a bit shaky, but standing. We will give you as much support as we can.
