Hey all I am sure glad to have come along this site.

I have had my hearing it was on Nov 01 of 05, I have yet to get my Disscharge papers. My Father has a vehicle that he wants to give me, and put it in my name for isurance. Would it be okay to do this, or would the court come after the vehicle for payment of my debts? Also, how long should it take to get disscahrge papers? They told me 45days from my hearing. Thank you so much.

Yeah, since you had the 341 meeting, you're in safe territory..Since it's a "Gift" it falls under other areas..And it isin't hiding assets...

technically anythign after filing the bk is yours, but somehow i doubt that is the case if things get sticky. anything after the 341 is a lot safer for sure.

you could run the risk of having the trustee or us trustee question who,what,why. this is a cautious standpoint. all you have to do is have him put it in your name, for insurance, and then place his name as lienholder. its simple. later on all he has to do is sign one line again and transfer it all to you.
