Why would the trustee ask for this? She wanted to know how much money was returned. Will she get this if it was not EIC?

Most likely your 2004 was spent before filing, if you filed recently. She might be trying to get an idea of what you'll receive in the near future when you file for 2005.Most of my information is from personal experience or HOURS and HOURS of online research. When you're searching online, keep in mind there is no guarantee that the info is completely up to date, and your situation is unique from anyone else's. Do your homework, and consult with an attorney so you can make an informed decision.

Oh, maybe so. She did tell other bk filers that when they did their 2005 tax returns to NOT get it direct deposited to their bank accounts. She said to send it straight to her and she will send back a portion of it if they were entitled. She did not tell us that, she just wanted 2004. We did recieve money back that year and it was not EIC.

The trustee is interested in what you got back as a tax refund in 2004 and where the money was spent.... You may have to supply receipts for where it was spent. Also this will give her/him an idea of how much you will be getting back...Minny

My suggestions are from "personal experience" and research only. Do not consider this as legal advice. Each bankruptcy case is different.
