Why is it that we have to pull our credit reports and straighten out all the inaccurate reporting, when the law requires those reporting our credit to report it correctly. All the people we filed on got letters from the court and they have it in writing that those debts are included in the BK.I know they do a large volume of business and have lots of files to maintain, but that's no excuse. Why do we have to go to the time, trouble and expense of correcting their failure to follow the law?

i agree. sound spretty stupid to me to.
remember that there is two ways to go about it.
first, the easiest one, send your bk discahrge papers to the reporting agencies and tell them to list it as IIB and $0 balance. keep sending them letters until they do so.
the second is the instead try to get the bad accounts removed as not yours etc. see if it works. i gues the idea here is the less of these you have the better. i dont know, seems like a bk on your record should trump all of this anyways lol.
the reason all this fighting has to takes place is because many agencies deal with data in many different ways. its damn dumb, but happens everywhere in business. there are too many different ways to report data to the agenecies too. so format is all up to them to some degree.
its silly bullpuckey.Im not an attorney or a trustee. You cant trust me either though!
