    2 More Weeks

My last day for objections is fast approaching. My how the time has crawled along, but in retrospect, its actually really flown by. Just checked my pacer bill: Account Balance: $ 8.56. Hopefully I can resist the urges to keep checking so that I keep the total balance under $10 by the time this is all over, and never be billed

Just got my 'first' new credit card. $59 annual fee, 15% interest, and no other charges, with a $300 limit. Not great, but not bad considering that I just had to dump 20k worth of bills, mostly medical related. Also just received forms for a new health insurance policy, to try and make sure this bankruptcy thing never happens again. Lesson learnt: Don't ride motorcycles. Insurance will not cover you. You will either 1.) Die or 2.) Hurt yourself real bad and be screwed for a very long time. Health insurance won't pay for it, and neither will your motorcycle insurance, it covers only liability to others and the bike itself, its set up totally different than auto insurance because of the high injury risk.

So, I also just received an 'invitation' in the mail to the 'Credit After Bankruptcy Seminar'. Its free of course, and I was skeptical that they would be trying to sell some expensive product at the seminar. After looking at their website www.afterbankruptcy.com it seems they are just genuinely good people who have filed bankruptcy themselves and are sharing their knowledge and experiences. All they sell is a book 'Credit After Bankruptcy' for a reasonable 30-something bucks. Has anyone read the book or attended the seminar? I'm really curious about it.

So, anywho, my storytime is at its end. Even though its not over yet, I've felt a strange new inner peace recently. All this weight lifted, stress alleviated, less worry, hopelessness and despair. Almost makes me want to goto an old baptist church so I can yell 'praise jesus' 'hallejuh' 'preach it brotha' and all that good stuff. Well ok maybe I won't do all that. But can I get a witness? An amen? lol

Yup its definately not over til its over. But I really haven't had any new debts in the past 3 years, everything pretty much happened all between 01-02. So it was all old debts, nothing paid on them and just being passed around to a bunch of different collection agencies sending me bigger and bigger bills etc. The one thing I am not looking forward to is cleaning up my credit report, thats going to take some time and alot of disputing I can already see it. But as far as the bk process goes, the us trustee can object of course, and get nothing. Theres nothing to take. I spose they could come for my 700-800$ tax return, which although I am looking forward to would not kill me if they did take it. But the trustee expressed no interest in it so thats all I'm really worried about at this point.

You are mostly correct on motorcycle insurance. The way you stated it is what people typically have, not realizing the driver has no coverage. The driver can be covered by the motorcycle insurance policy with optional "medical payments coverage" - it costs substantially more so most people pass on this option.

Well they offer up to 10,000$ as an option. Won't do you much good when your hospital bill is 30k like mine was. And god forbid you need a helicopter lifeflght ambulance, thats 50+ grand alone, per ride.

Yeah that's not going to go too far in a bike wreck. I haven't carried the coverage becuase I've been in a negative net worth position for some time now.
