    BK Friendly Auto Insurance Compamy

Can anyone recommend a BK friendly auto insurance provider that bases your rate on your driving record instead of your credit rating !!!

I don't know if this insurance agency bases your policy on your credit or driving record but I went through Nationwide Insurance after filing bk and didn't have any problems and received a low rate. They will also give you comparisons of other companies. Good luck

Unfortunately, NOW insurance companies are basing their premiums on whether you claimed BK or not in the past. (what the H*&* that's got to do with the price of tea in China, I don't know) BUT it is what is happening.
If you have claimed BK - they are considering you a risk!! Thus making your insurance more.......

Also if you have ever let your insurance LAPSE - for any reason, and have driven without insurance - then you are considered an EXTREMELY HIGH RISK............. and that even includes carrying no-fault insurance.

A friend of mine let her insurance lapse (age 53) because of lack of funds.... When she went back to renew it.....she suffered "sticker shock"!!!!! She was a high risk now...... and her liability only insurance changed from $45.00 a month to over $200.00 a month..... TALK ABOUT A SHOCK!!!!

In Ky you must carry no-fault at least....... or no tags.....
Many had the habit of getting insurance for 30 days, get their tags, and then cancel insurance..... WELL, they sure put a stop to that!!!

Now you cancel insurance after getting tags, YOU BECOME HIGH RISK.................AND WILL PAY THE PIPER from there on out....

So when getting insurance, be carefull about changing companies. Don't cancel one thinking you might get it cheaper somewhere else, cause you may get fooled!!

its all BS. scum suckers imo. and obviously a scam.

like a bk has anything to do with insurance. you pay insurance that will cover you only up to a certain point adn they want to act like a bk customer costs them more money? lol the amount they pay will be the same regardless.

          Been in FL so long...

...I don't know how it is in other states, but here, if your car insurance lapses for over 90 days...your license gets suspended and when they pull you over, they just put your tag # into the computer & it reads, suspended license and no insurance and you get a ticket for both if the officer is having a good day and you have no broken tail light...but if it's a bad day, you could end up in jail. Florida is very strict on this.

Ky is too, no insurance, no tags, no drivers liscence, they impound your vehicle, you don't get it back till you have insurance, tags, drivers liscense..... Can be a very EXPENSIVE day!!! Cheaper to get insurance!!

In GA, if your insurance cancels and you don't cancel your tags-you get a fine by mail. (So I made sure to cancel the old tags on the surrendered vehicles.)

Not sure if you mean me or someone else... Tags don't stay with the vehicle, they stay with the owner. New owner has to apply for new tag, and the dealership uses a dealer tag in the meantime.
