    Reaffirmation

Is it typical for a reaffirmation to show up as IIB on a credit report with a zero balance? I reaffirmed my car and yesterday noticed it is showing IIB with a zero balance to the creditor.

    ???

no if you reaffirmed then i dont beleive they will list it as such becuase you will be responsible for the payment from now on isntead of just paying the monthly payment and keeping it as long as you want isntead.

so since you are responsible for it then they should change it all back to a normal loan imo. give them time though.

also, why did you reaffirm on a car instead of just making payments?
Im not an attorney or a trustee. You cant trust me either though!

When you say you reaffirmed, did you sign reaffirm papers before discharge???

If so you are reaffirmed..... if not, then IIB is correct on your credit report.

If you did not sign the reaffirm papers, then you better make sure you keep your auto payments current or they will repo immediately on you...

Check your credit report or any errors, or disputed items also.....

My suggestions are from "personal experience" and research only. Do not consider this as legal advice. Each bankruptcy case is different.

It might take a little while for the creditor to resume reporting. Most update every 30 days.
Most of my information is from personal experience or HOURS and HOURS of online research. When you're searching online, keep in mind there is no guarantee that the info is completely up to date, and your situation is unique from anyone else's. Do your homework, and consult with an attorney so you can make an informed decision.

????...My attorney made the suggestion. I had a $40k truck before and included that in the BK. Originally I was advised to seek terms with the finance company but they wouldn't have anything to do with it. I returned the truck and bought a POS car. My attorney suggested I reaffirm the car during the BK...wasn't aware that I could "just make payments". Could you explain a little more about this?
