Our tax refund should have been about $1700 for the entire year.
However we adopted - through the state (it didn't cause the BK) - and ended up getting our adoption credit to the tune of about $6000 more.
Now ours was a no assests case and we went from a 13 to 7 - paperwork in on Oct 17th. Our adoption didn't become final until Nov 1 (so no credit was available until then), but had 341 on Nov 8. Our lawyer didn't mention adoption - I doubt he knew.
Is the trustee gonna take this? We have most of our tax money and have recieved our discharge and were asked at the 341 for our tax info.
Due to root canals and cars with over 200,000 miles some money is gone. Are we in need of a paddle for the trip upriver?
