We filed bankruptcy in March of 2004 and were discharged in July. The law in ND states that any payment that you made to any creditor that you are not reaffirming, over $600 in the 90 days prior to filing has to be reimbursed. Well, we had a garnishment that took $1050 in that time so they are by law to surrender $450 (amount over $600) but their lawyers are being quite nasty. I have dealt with these guys before when they continued the garnishment after the filing and I had to fight tooth and nail for that money as well so I knew this wouldn't be easy. Anyways, my lawyer is fighting hard for us but has suggested that we report these guys for their illegal activity. Does anyone have any idea where we can report them to? Any ideas on how to get them to realize the law applies to them as well? Any help would be much appreciated.

Thank you so much Todd. I will be typing up my complaint and the specifics of what has been going on but I wanted to thank you first. I just don't understand how someone who is supposed to be an expert of the law can have such a disrespect for it. Thanks again. Hopefully I can save someone else from having to go through the same thing with these people.
