After camping out on the PACER site for the last few days it finally went through!!!
10-12-05: Filed BK no-asset
01-17-06: 341 Meeting
03-15-06: Ordered discharge
03-23-06: Case closed by US Trustee!!
One major thing to note here is that I was extremely worried because I had a Roth IRA worth $20k. Under the old laws a Roth was not explicitly exempt so I was really taking a chance here, but I had no choice.
Well they closed my no-asset case today without touching my Roth and without asking for any kind of tax information. I owe $400 this year anyway, but I wasn't even asked for any tax return info.
Only people who have had their case closed know the weight that comes off your shoulders when you see that glorious PACER entry of "case closed". I physically felt myself relax the moment I read that PDF, and now I know that my Roth and retirement are ok and that things are looking up.
Now it's time to clean up that mess of a credit report I got there.
Thanks to everyone, especially Minny who helped along the entire time. Probably couldn't have done it without this board.
