What to wear to 341 meeting ?

I have my 341 in the morning and was just wondering how I should dress.

Dress nice, like you are going to court. VERY little, if any, jewelry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No wrist watches. Dress down, but nice. Remember, the Trustee is not your friend. He is there to see if you have any assets, he is there on basically, on behalf of your creditors. When you go to a 341 you have admitted guilt, that you owe the money, you are asking the Court for relief from your creditors. The Trustee cares little if you have enough to live on, it is not his job to concern himself with that. Just a little input...

We just wore normal clothes. Some people were in jeans, but it was just
everyday normal casual to business casual for the most part.

Don't wear your mink coat and your Hope diamond that day... hee hee hee! : )

This is something we asked atty and he said to dress very casual. We had on jeans and sweatshirts in his office and he said we were dressed perfectly! I said that we would probably look a little better for the 341 and he stressed again that we looked fine!! So dress down a little bit for appearance sake!!

I went by my atty once wearing work clothes and he hinted that I should dress that way for the 341. What about my wife's wedding rings ?

I was gonna wear a business like suit. I got a letter from my att. that said that there is a dress code and failure to dress according to those requirements could be grounds for dismissal. But it never really says what those requirements are. Go figure.

I wore khaki's and a polo style shirt. I would say business casual. As far as being dismissed for wearing the wrong thing I would say BS(unless you opt for your birthday suit ). There were people there in their Sundays best but also some there in sweat pants. My thoughts were I didnt want to look like I had anything(which wasnt hard). I would have been comfortable in jeans and a t shirt but out of place in a tie. You could always go to a 341 in advance wearing whatever you want and see what everyone else is wearing and more importantly see what goes on. It is very informal. No judge. Just a little meeting room with crappy chairs set up everywhere.

I had mine today, and had to go to work afterward. I wear business casual at work (collared shirt and tie, dress slacks and shoes.) That's what I wore to the 341 meeting; I asked my attorney about it beforehand, he said that would be fine.

I did wear a watch, but I really like Casio $19.95 watches, so I wore my Casio with no problems.

We had to go to work after our 341 meeting today and we wore regular business clothes. I was so nervous that I forgot to wear any earrings--LOL! I did wear my wedding rings and one other ring. I wore a skirt, shirt, and jacket. My husband wore business casual slacks and a long sleeved shirt. It wasn't really a big deal, just nerve racking!!!!

Don't wear shorts and a tank top with flip flops or t-shirts with funny and/or crude sayings on them. Don't wear jewelery or watches, even if they are on your exempt list.

Do wear clean work clothes, jeans and a button down shirt, khaki's, casual is the way to go.

Wear a suit if you like, but don't go borrowing your uncles $5000 handmade Italian wool suit.
