Are these people usually rude and arrogant? I wanted to reach thru the phone and strangle her..... On the good note, I got my certificate and Im going on Monday to sign. She made my bp rise!

My CCCS counselor was extremely nice. Very professional, very understanding. Glad your getting your certificate, that is ultimatly, what you wanted.

Mine was not rude. Very pleasant. I think they are probably just busy. I read somewhere that they have had to bring extra people on board for these BK's. Well, now, there is a new job created

Well she just couldn't understand how, I have all these debts and make about 600.00 a month and that working as an Independent Contractor was not a real job. I was like hello, I work for a cell phone co, its based on talk time minutes not hourly and Im a student and I have a 7 yr old. But yanno then she tried to talk me into having my husband file too. Yea whtever, he has perfect credit and always pays in full, over the amt owed. I kept telling her this is me not him and hes not responsible for my past.

Credit counselors are not supposed to be telling you HOW TO FILE................. they are supposed to help you budget...... and show you ways and how too...... and inform you about what might have caused your bankruptcy.

Your husbands credit was none of her business..........

You file as an individual.

I am filing as an individual, I basically told her to shove it, in a nice way. But I really don't care I got my Certificate. But towards then end she said well Im not going to bother making a payment plan for you becasue theres no way you can pay all this back. LOL. Now I file on Monday! Yay! TG that my hubby is gracious enough to pay for my bk for me. But as soon as Im done with school and work FT, I will pay him back. My lawyer told me that it should take about 6 weeks from filing before my hearing. So Im moving right along. I will be more releived on Monday when I file. Im so tired of the collection calls. I just hang up on them like my lawyer told me to.
