    File online?

Has anyone used bankrutcyzoom.com to fill out paperwork to file yourself?
They charge only 150$ Compared to 1600$ lawyers will charge. They state that it is guaranteed. Is it worth it?

I have been doing a lot of research on filing for Chapter 7 Bankruptcy. It is my opinion that it is best to have an attorney when filing. If you call around to local attorneys you will more than likely find one who will work with you on the cost of their services. They usually require a downpayment and then you can make monthly payments. I think it is worth it to have an attorney because he/she knows all the forms you will need, etc.

I would do file on line. cheaper, and the same as going to an attorney's office.

File without an Attorney? I once tried the "Home Brain Surgery Kit" which is marketed by a former Head RN from one of our local hospitals. Other than being permanently blind in one eye, having trouble with certain motor skills and always veering to the right while walking or driving it was well worth it to save the $75,000.00 the Surgeon would have charged.

File without an Attorney? Of course! On what planet is $1600.00 or $2200.00 alot of money for Legal Counsel? If you are a no asset case, ok, maybe. It may be hard to come up with but in the end you are better off. But if you have a family and things worth saving, an Attorney is well worth it.

I suggest using an attorney, they know all of the in's and out's for your state. I would look around for another attorney though, I am only paying a $200 filing fee and $800 to the attorney. He is 100% worth it, he has really made me feel at ease about the whole situation.

I filed pro se myself. However, I had absolutely no assets, just a lot of debt...(a big thank you to my ex-husband!)

I suggest filing with an attorney. I am not sure what state you are in but it is well worth it. I am in MS and my atty fee was only $200 with the court cost of $209. That's a total of $409 to clear out over $20K in c/c debt. Please weigh the pros and cons of self filing. I hope all goes well.
