I just received a notice of Ch 7 discharge for the bk 7 I filed over 1 year ago. My ex wife petitioned the court after I filed saying we had real estate and I should not be able to file bk. and all this time the court was tyring to determine if I owned any real estate. Does this discharge paper mean that they have finally realized I do not own any real estate or other assets and my Bk is closed?

Discharged means Creditors can no longer object or file adversarials or impede your BK in anyway.
Closed comes when the Trustee says it does. That's when the Court is done with you and your BK is truly over with.
Most times, Closed is merely a housekeeping formality that comes soon after being discharged.Filed Ch 7 - 09/06
Discharged - 12/2006
Officially Declared No Asset - 03/2007
Closed - 04/2007
