    Credit cards charging interest during bankruptcy

    I filed bankruptcy in 12/2004. {Alabama}
    I was charged 8% interest on all my debt from 11/2004 to 3/2006.
    Can creditors add interest like that after filing bankruptcy?

    Yes, but if your in a Chapter 13, who cares? They will only get what the trusteee gives them, and then what isn't paid at the end of your term is discharged. Are you at 100% payback or less?

    Since your listing this in the Chapter 7, again, who cares, the debt is discharged. They can add 100% and still get the same thing.
    Chapter 13 Filed 4/03/06 :blink: 341 Meeting Complete 5/11/06 :yes2:
    Plan Confirmation 6/16/06 :yahoo:
    Discharged: 1/5/2010 :yahoo::yahoo::yahoo::yahoo:

      The trustee sold my home and paid all debt, so seeing all that interest for the past 2 years brought me to tears.But now that I know about the interest I can suck it up and move on.
      Thank you dearly for the response.
