    another asset question

If I am living with my girlfriend who has her own house.what do the courts do about assets? she own everything in the house except the few things I have.
I mean I can't list furniture, appliences and so on. I do own a t.v and v.c.r and
computer all that are more than 4 years old.also are they gonna make me rummage through all my junk?or do I need not to worry about pety things?
Also I am feeling wierd getting my paycheck and not paying credit cards or my car payment I have been putting away for future legal fees should I worry about things
or should I trust that everything will turn out ok and trust that my lawyer knows
    what he's doing.

Worry about the pety things, the trustee might. List everything that is yours, you do not have to list your gf's things.

Yes, it is a weird feeling not paying the cards. All I can say, is good luck, don't buy anything on them now that you have decided to file, and speak to a good attorney on how to best show your living arrangements (are you paying her rent, should you be paying her rent .. etc)

You can split your property and claim only what's yours. That's not gonna be a problem.

Not paying your CC's is wierd, but you need the money elsewhere, so just go with the flow.

The problem I see here is "living with the girlfriend". You have to list out expenses to live. Rent, utilities, phone bill and such. Who pays those?? Do you pay her any money at all toward that?? If you do, get it in writing. Write up some form of Lease agreement with her saying you pay $X for rent, any utilities bills you pay, and the phone bill. If you just give her a lump sum, then say $X for rent which includes utilitites as well.

I am not an attorney. My comments are based on personal experience and research. Always consult an attorney in your area to address concerns related to your particular situation.
