From the first meeting with the lawyer when is the first court date usually scheduled?We are visiting family for a "vacation"in July and I know that wouldn't look good to the lawyer to say we are busy on certain days!I wouldn't want the dates to conflict..

You go when they say you go--about the only reason for not attending your 341 meeting is death in the family--they don't try to work around your schedule, they just set a day.

We filed in CT the last week of March and our 341 was April 21st. Pretty quick here. I think it is usually about 6 weeks from the date you file. They go by when your atty files the petition, not when you first see him.

You are dealing with a Federal Court, Federal Judge, and a Federal US Trustee here................ THEY CALL THE PUNCHES BELIEVE ME............

Best be planning your "fun" around THEM................. their wants and needs!!!

Expect your 341 meeting to be held 30-40 days after you filed. If you file today, I wouldn't make any plans for July 1-15 at this time.

The others are correct, you GO when THEY say YOU GO. I think 6 weeks is probably fairly accurate in most cases, we filed 7/29/04 and the 341 meeting
was 9/10/04. So that was about 44 days later.

MEA2, I would have to agree with everyone else here. Regardless of your plans, you will have to be at that 341 if it falls in that particular time-frame.
