Reaffirimg Mortgage

I have my 341 creditors meeting on June 29. I want to reaffirm my mortgage. Does it have to be totally current for them to reaffirm with me? I'm one payment behind and I won't have the money until the week after my meeting?

It is best to be current. But you can't do anything about what is out of your control. If they took your house anyways, they couldn't do so until the automatic stay is over. So they are more likely to accept reaffirmation, as long as you can get up to date by the time stay is over.

You might be able to call your mortgage company and set up a payment over the phone with the date you are able to make the payment. That way it will come out of your account automatically and hopefully for some reason they won't stop it. If we have fallen behind we have called to make some type of payment arrangement and they have always worked with us.
