Reaffirmation hearing soon
Hi Everyone:
My last day for objections 7/24 is right around the corner, so I could help but notice that since I filed pro-se my hearing before the judge regarding reaffirming my car hadn't been scheduled. So when I checked my mailbox there was the notice for my Reaffirmation hearing on 7/17 - a week before my last day of objections. When you have a lawyer this is a hearing that you can avoid, but when you file pro-se, you're suppose to stand before the judge so he can question whether or not you understand what you're getting yourself into. I have less than $2,000 left to pay on my car, so after paying it consecutively for 5 years with no missed payments, I hope that he lets me pay off the remaining balance for the next 6 months.
So far no one has objected to my BK, but it ain't over until its closed.
