    pre bankruptcy class

    i plan on filling in 90 days. does anyone know how long the credit class certificate is valid for untill you file? just unsure when i should take the class.

    You need to complete your pre-bankruptcy class and get your certificate within 180 days before filing.

    There's no reason to wait - sign up and complete your class now so your lawyer is certain to have your certificate in hand when you do file. No certificate and the court has no choice but to dismiss your bankruptcy - that's bad, very bad.

    Be sure wherever you get your class is approved by your district - the list of approved agencies by state is at http://www.usdoj.gov/ust/eo/bapcpa/ccde/cc_approved.htm
