Question about Ch. 7

Her credit report should say "discharged, Ch. 7 bankruptcy," right?

So under the mortgage what is it going to say, included in bankruptcy, or foreclosed?

Included in bankruptcy and if so then I would say they DIDNT get there motion and thats why I say there is a missing document somewhere either the bank didn't get there papers that they motion was not granted or your wife didn't get her notice that the bank wanted to lift the stay and she wasn't protected.
