If I file 7 what happens to my mothers co-signed loan?

While looking around on the internet I stumbled on this board and it is helpful to know that a support group exists and I am not alone.

My $22,000 in CC debt and a loan with my mom which she co-signed are my two largest debts. My car is paid for but my house has a loan also. I wonder can I just include the CC in my bankruptcy and keep paying on the loan with my mom? I don't want to mess up her credit as well as my house loan. Will this effect or show up on her credit?

You can reaffirm any debt you want in bankruptcy. So you could potentially keep paying on it if you chose.

I don't know if it will show on her credit reports. But she will ultimately become responsible on a co-signed credit line if you don't pay, so you may want to question whether you should even bother filing.

It no longer shows up on her credit report. They used to do that but the laws changed.
