My wife filed chapter 7 before the deadline. It was discharged in March 2006. We have been pulling her credit reports and noticed that some of the itmes say "petition for ch. 7 bankruptcy," and they have a zero balance and then some say "ch. 7 discharged." They both have zero balances. I went ahead and disputed the ones that said "petition" and they cameback as affirmed. Does anyone know the difference between the two?
