How Long Does it take for case to close

How long does it take for your case to close once the judge issues discharge order?

That all depends. Some of our members have been discharged and closed the same day. Myself, I was discharged on 02/16/2006 and I'm still waiting closing. I was an asset case though. If you are no asset, you could be discharged and closed on the same day. Everyone's tiimeline is different.

Discharged 1/2/06, Closed on a Friday 1/13/06 (13 is my lucky number, always has been!)

How long to close case

Why so long for closing? Once the judge discharges isn't that it? We are a no asset case and were discharged two days ago and when I log onto to Pacer it says awaiting closing.

Give it a little more time. I don't believe the case can be closed until the trustee submits his/her final report. In my case, I guess I'm waiting for his final report after the funds (from my income tax refund) are dispersed. God only knows when this will happen. I do remember seeing on the last documents filed, a date of 10/31/2006......so....I guess I wait until then. I don't know for sure, but I'm not bothering the clerk or my attorney with that right now. My life has moved on.
