I had to file bankruptcy last year and did so before the laws changed. I was carrying far to much credit card debt because of medical problems and knew with the new minimum payments being raised I would have no chance.
Anyway I filed pro-se on Oct 14, 2005 and was discharged in Feb. and closed in May. The law then was fairly straight forward and I felt comfortable handling everything myself.
Just on the side I could not file a chapter 7 today because of my income. I was wondering if some of you folks would share your experiences with the new law. I am wondering if the impact of the law is as bad as I have read or is it just taking time to adjust to everything.
