    Stupid, stupid collectors part 2......

    Refresh here: http://bkforum.com/showthread.php?t=14590

    So I check my mail today and what do I find?

    Yes, that's right, another collection letter from Mann Bracken LLC for the same account! That's the third collection letter received since they signed for my "cease & desist" letter back in the beginning of April. Looks like they send them every month, regardless whether you have sent them a "cease & desist" letter or actually sued them in court...

    I was abit stunned, I could not believe it. I mean I knew they were lawless and somewhat stupid, but this just seems so incredibly so.

    I mean, Christ, I'm already suing these idiots. How stupid do you have to be.....? LOL

    And, this is all in writing with proper dates and everything. Jeesh!!!

    So, I call my attorney's office, assuming he won't be there because of the holiday.

    I get an assistant who annotates my account and tells me somebody will get back to me because they happen to be negotiating with Mann Bracken as we speak.

    I sure would have liked to have been transferred to him right there where I could have told him as he was speaking with Mann Bracken on the other line, except I understand that you don't want to brag too much when your looking a gift horse in the mouth.....

    Let them send the letters...hey, it's a mininum of $1000.00 for each violation.

    Why tip your hand and allow them to escape....

    I'm kinda likin' Mann Bracken right now.

    Hey, I'll take a collection letter from dufus anytime, ya know...

    Lifes great, isn't it?

    These are possible reasons:

    1. Law firm bought tons of very very old loans sold by CC;

    2. They hire mailers (who know nothing about the contents of letter & just keep sending out per month those non-responsive letters) for minimum wage (spanish?);

    3. They also use computer program "automatically" print & sent out these of course.

    4. Only when account is paid, computer will show & they will look at; Otherwise, computers keep printing.. and mailers keep stamping.. etc., and their business keep going with minimum costs maintained, etc.

    5. They don't have time to read individually as they bought these many these bulk accounst very cheap and hope to make money only a few out of hundres uncollected. On average, based on thousands of accounts, hopefully they will make some nice profit (with huge interests) or forget ... stil no problem with them anyway..

    6. Business always carry risks & loss. If they don't make good profitd to maintain, then they still have other collecting accounts (for big company, big commercial accounts, etc.) to live on so you don't worry... just be happy!....

      Your absolutely correct my friend. And, of course, we really don't care WHY they violate the law....just that they do.

      This has become fun in many ways. I have adapted well to my minimal income, and since I will be filing in the next couple of weeks, any awards I may receive until then (doubtful) will be exempt (using Fed exemptions) and further suits will be held until I'm discharged so I'm sitting quite nice right now.

      My attorney really likes the recordings, documents and data I am able to collect on my collectors. It makes his job easier and we should be able to make some money if we are patient.

      My BK7 is textbook and I foresee no problems.

      I absolutely love the mass confusion of these collectors, and just thrill at the chance to sue them.

      Their loss is my gain.

      Even if I don't collect a dime, its been well worth the slight expense, the steep learning curve and the opportunity to fight back.

      I'm positive the 2-3 year time frame to correct credit errors and clean up my CR's will expose many more opportunities to sue these creeps.

      Thanks for the response,

      Regards,

      CPO
