Real Law Firm? CIR Law Offices. Does anyone know if this firm is really?

I received a letter from a company named. CIR, Law Offices (WWW.cirlaw.com) they are out of San Diego.

Does anyone know if this is a letter from lawyers getting ready to sue or is this company from a collection agency.

Has anyone dealt with them in the past?

It basically says : The referenced account has been placed with this firm to initiate collection effort. Our client claims that you have a delinquent balance as stated above. Unless you notify this office with in 30 days or dispute we will assume this debt is valid.

I tried to resolve this due amount of 3,200.00 from First Consumer National Bank. I tried to give them smaller payments on a plan but they would not accept the offer. Im guessing this is a 2yr old debt. I believe they sold the account to Midland Credit Management who i guess in turn has sent it to the PPL above.

    Thanks for the answered help!

Do you live in the San Diego area (or CA).

They appear to be a real law firm, but depending on where you live, they may or may not sue. Attorney's can only sue in states in which they are licensed to practice. But if you do not live in CA, the law firm will probably try non-judicial collections first, and then may find an attorney in your local area to actually sue.
