Collection agency sent me a settlement offer through E-mail.
Is this letter as binding legal as if you got it in the mail?
Get them to send you the offer on company stationary that reveals their official name, address, phone #, and somebody's signature.
The email that you mentioned sounds/looks like a hoax. Just curious: How did they address you - Dear whatever your name is or Dear whatever your screenname is?
Whatever - get the outfit to send you the offer on company stationary.
