    My mom. several months before she died, opened a bank account with $25,000 with the stipulation that it was to be my son's/her grandson when he turns 30.
    The account is joint - her name/his name, but as mentioned won't really be his until he turns 30.
    He's 28 now.
    Can creditors/their collection goons place a levy on that account now??

    They'd have to sue and win and then, find the account.
    If that happened, they could sure freeze the account and likely get their hands on it sooner rather than later.
