I am new to the forum and live in the state of Ohio. I have been injured and off work for over a year and things are bad to say the least. Our income is judgement proof since workman comp checks are stopping we both receive SSDI but am thinking of filing chapter 13 to keep our home if we even have enough income to do that. We had previously filed chapter 7 four years ago for medical bills.
I will be getting a workman comp settlement probably a year from now and wonder what happens to that money. It would be large sum so I am curious as to how the referee would handle it.
Guess I am really confused as what is the best thing to do. Thanks
