will bk save this house?
I got divorced and was awarded the house. I didn't retitle the house or change the mortgage. The mortgage is my x's name deed is currently in both our names. I made a few payments and then we got back together and stopped making the payments. If he declares bk will the house be saved?

If you qualify for and choose to file Ch 7 BK, NO.
Ch 7 is Liquidation BK. You have to be current on the Mortgage to keep the house.
If you file Ch 13 BK, you can have your arrears put in the payment plan and keep the house.Filed Ch 7 - 09/06

Officially Declared No Asset - 03/2007
