    Notice in the mail today...

I received a packet in the mail today from a law firm. It says that since I have "physically abandoned the property, they wish to lift the automatic stay and they want to shorten the Michigan foreclosure statutory redemption period." I knew this would happen, its no surprise.

I moved out 2-1-09 and still have some things at the house (some fitness machinery, a cabinet full of boating/automotive supplies, etc)..

Does this mean they are going to padlock my doors and I wont be able to get my stuff?
    Retained bk7 laywer 8-12-08, Filed 12-22, 341 Meeting Scheduled 1-29-09
    Discharged 4-17-09!!!
Reason for filing: Medical, NOT irresponsibility with credit.

Possibly. I have a rental property that is vacant and the lender sent a letter to my attorney stating that if they didn't receive a response within a week they would go in and secure the property (i.e. change the locks, winterize it, etc.) In my case I didn't respond as I am surrendering the property and didn't have any desire to go back in it anyway.
