    Trustee Sale and how notified

With the NOD we received certified as well as mailed letters letting us know about the NOD. Then we came home from a weekend out of town and there was a notice mailed to the door saying the house would be sold at a trustees sale on September 8, 2009. My question is how come nothing shows on the county assesor's website like the NOD did and how come it was not certified mailed? What if the wind blew the notice away how would we know? So my question is since they need to give 21 day notice in California have they violated that or do they just need to post something on the door and not with the county, etc?
    Thanks

Did you check foreclosure.com to see if the sale date is listed? You can look by zip code and find your house up there. . .it'll only provide partial address, but it's enough to see what's up.

FWIW, EVERYTHING we got was sent certified. Have you gone to the post office to see if possibly they have certified copies they have on hold there? Maybe there was a mix up.

Actually came home today and had a notice posted on the door from post office and copies of the trustees sale in the mailbox.

Type your name in there and you can see what it's there.

If your name is very common grab a cup of coffee.

funny thing is it did not show up on the recorder website until about 3 days after I received the notice in the mail as I check taht site daily. maybe they are backlogged.
