    Looking for Jobs after Bankruptcy

I recently applied as an account executive for a HSBC and was called about the application for a follow up. However, I remembered later that one of the accounts that was in my Chapter 7 was Best Buy which is HSBC. Now that I remember this, to what degree is this going to affect somebody like myself applying as an account executive (probably selling credit packages) - not necessarily running the place or watching their vault?

    Thanks,

    Jeff.

Also, I have seen information on this topic online but cannot get a really good answer because what I have seen has been vague.

It's possible that you'll sail on thru and get the job. On the other hand, they may screen your credit and walk away because of the bk - not noticing that 'they' are in there. Lastly, they may say no because of 'their' loss, but then - you may have an opportunity to get the job IF you want to pay back their loss with your new income. I know that's kinda funny, but how important is this job to you? Seems like they could set you up with a reasonable payroll deduction, and you may be able to turn this negative into a positive reporting item.

Depends on how *badly* they want your skills. If demand is high, employers ignore more stuff.
