    Talked to BK Attorney today...

We went to talk to a BK attorney today to find out if we
could do Chap 7 or 14...

from the start, he was doing nothing but talking down to us...

What an arrogant ass he was... he started off by talking about
how we was sucking up his time for free, and he was not
    getting anything...

then he stated well, $1000 for Chap 13, then I will finanice
the rest... $1500, then he started in, well if you go bust
on chap 13 then im out of $1500 and i just did a lot of free work.

the attorney has already labeled us before doing much of anything.

Instead of talking to us, he was talking down to us, its already a bad
situation when having to go talk to a lawyer to begin with...

needless to say, if i have to start this process over again, then
I will...dont look down upon your clients, and do not talk to them
as trash... and how your not making any money.

just one less client he has now, he needs to go back to school
and learn how to talk to people the right way...

We didn't get the "I'm not making any money" schpiel like you did the first time. We got the "I file the most BK's and I'm the cheapest BK attny in town." schpiel. Otherwise, sounds pretty much like our first Consult.

Having already done some research, we knew going into the Consult we were below the Median for our family size. Yet this guy just took pay stubs, added up monthly net, deducted his own set of expenses, and gleefully squealed we'd only have to pay $195/mo for 5 years.

'Scuse me??!! But you didn't even bother to compare our 6 month CMI to the Median??!! We're below the Median!! Why are we going Ch 13 and not 7??!!

Needless to say, we did not hire that guy.

But,.............. Here's the kicker!! The day we went for our 341, this guy was there with 2 clients. And get this,......... The one client that went before us was a Ch 13, converting to a Ch 7.

Now if you have to file Ch 13 with him first, pay Ch 13 plan payments for a while, then convert to Ch 7, doesn't that really make him a more expensive attny??!!
      Filed Ch 7 - 09/06
      Discharged - 12/2006
Officially Declared No Asset - 03/2007
      Closed - 04/2007

Maybe call him back and remind him, why would you even bother to pay money for treatment like that. Apologize for wasting his time, after all, the money you would pay him would for one hour of work would be more than you make in a month. How could he possibly appreciate such a meager effort from you.
