Liens filed after BK Discharged

Hi

My wife and my Bankruptcy became final in Nov of 1996. We Just went to the bank to ask for a Home Equity loan in Feb of 2005. The bank now tells us that one of the creditors that had been dischaged from the BK had a lawyer file a lien on my wifes house in 1999. How can they file a lien after we have been declared BK. She received the house in July of 1997. We live in OHio.

We need a bit more information. What type of creditor filed the lien, and if they have a lien, that means there was probably a judgment...
