    What to do?

I am 25 yr old female, with a 2 year old daughter and a fiance, I am a DOD civilian working in a legal office and I make $28,000/year. I have about $14,000 in debt ($4,000 on repo balance, $4,000 student loans, $3,000 CC (all in collections), and about $3,000 miscellaneous collection accounts). I am contemplating filing bankruptcy but honestly just scared of the repercussions. My job requires a background check and according to my credit report they have an open eye on my report until the end of this year. I cannot obtain any type of financing. When I gave my car back to the bank when my transmission blew, I bought a beater car for $900 so I would have transpo to work and to daycare and it ended up dying months later. I have been renting a car week to week just so the both of us can go to work to pay bills. I am afraid that my car repo balance will be garnished in my wages, cuz as Gov't employees it is oh so easy to do it, which will leave me even more hard up then now, I can barely pay rent and my current bills, nevermind trying to pay off my old ones. I have TERRIBLE credit, I'm sure it is in the 400's now as a year ago it was 510. I am scared that if I file BK, I will lose my job or not be able to get a good as one afterwards. We rent and have an alright rental history, we've been here for 3 years and been late probably about 5 times. I have a job interview for another Gov't job which pays about $5,000 more than this one now, but the job requires a security clearance. I've thought about contacting every creditor listed on my report and trying to work out some settlement/payment plan, but I dont' even know when/if I will have money to pay them. What do I do? I am so scared and it seems like every avenue is off limits to me. Help please! I am too young to be in this much debt!
