Can someone tell me how to search on my trustee on PACER? I've looked and looked and obviously don't know what the heck I'm doing. I want to see what cases he dismissed, etc.
Go to your State and District. Log In. Then click Query.
On the Query page, enter your Trustee's name. Maybe just enter a last name and first initial. That way you'll get possibly several names to choose from.
There's "Type" search and a drop down menu box. Select Trustee there. And run the Query.
BEWARE!!! If your Trustee has been working for the BK Court for a long time, 20-30 years or so, the initial search page will be every case your Trustee has ever handled. It could be HUNDREDS of PACER billable pages. You could easily be billed $20-$30 just for the list or your Trustee's cases. That's not counting looking at any cases that have been filed that your Trustee administered.

Since I had looked on PACER for a couple of other things and had gotten a "Your query has identified 18 pages...are you sure you want to proceed" type message, I thought I'd try to check on our Trustee, too....OOOOPS! I just "queried" our Trustee's name and in the Type (dropdown menu), chose Trustee. Well, as it was loading, I realized it was taking WAAAAY too long, so I clicked "BACK". It stopped mid-load, and THEN RE-LOADED! Yikes...I IMMEDIATELY "logged off" and then re-logged on checked my PACER billing. Withing seconds, I had a $54 bill on PACER...even though I didn't look at any of the cases (12,000+)! It charged me for the "aborted" query and the re-loaded one! I have sent an email to PACER, claiming stupidity and asked for a refund/review....if they're anything like the rest of our legal/justice/political system, I doubt I will get any reprive...but it's worth a shot.
At any rate, BE CAREFUL! You will NOT get a warning that you are about to embark on a 700+page query!
When I log on to PACER I have to put my acc't info. Next page I have to put my name and SS#. Then I get to my case. Where is it that I start out by state?
On the PACER main page, top toolbar, upper left, next to Register, place your cursor over Links. You'll get a drop down menu.
Select PACER Links. Next page, select BK, upper toolbar to the right.
Then, find your State and District. Click on that link.
Next page, you'll see a Court Seal top center with a Link under it. Click on that link.
Next page, you log in with your User ID and password. Click "log-in" and it will take you to a new page.
In the top toolbar, select Query. Next page, you can enter the Trustee's name. In the "Type" box at the bottom, select Trustee from the drop down menu.
