    taxes paid with cc

If I pay my taxes via credit card and then file BK does that mean my taxes (for all intents and purpose) are discharged? Or will the trustee look at everything and see that and pull it out of dischargeable debt?

also: how can I keep one card for building future credit? Can I just not list it? Will the other cc companies look at my credit report and somehow force me to claim that one?
    thanks!

yes you can pay your taxes using a credit card, and then file BK on the credit card used to pay the taxes. taxations entities dont seem to care how they get paid............

However, if its a major amount of money, the credit card may object to the discharge of the debt.

Interesting topic...I have about 3K to pay on my '04 taxes and was going to file a 7 in a few weeks. See the "scared and confused thread" for my story. Anyway, I have been told by attorneys to NOT use my cards anymore. It would be very easy to use the remaining credit I have to pay the taxes off and then file the 7. Would'nt this cause a snag or red flag somewhere?

It definatley may! Sitations such as these are one of the arguments supporters of the BK reformed used to push for change.

but if you wait the suggested 60-90 days it would be no different than any other discharge - no? "I paid my taxes with my card b/c it had lowers interes and penalty than the IRS and then I realized I could not pay the card either" or something a bit more intelligent;) but you get the idea. I guess I am seeing it as a "plan" which we know should never be revealed...
