Waiting to file

Hello everyone because we transferred some property to play it safe is it safe to say that we have to wait one year to file then we don't have to list the transfer. plus I know my salary will be under our states allowance. I will continue to pay min on cards . But we plan on leaving our house I have a first and second I figure buy the time the first sell this will be awhile does this sound right.

I don't think it matters how long you wait. If you transferred property to keep it out of bk, then you are participating in fraud.

Ron77 - Have you consulted any attorneys about your case? You really should do this, if you have not already done so. See at least three, and gather information about protecting your assets.

You have property that needs protecting, but the way you are going about it (transferring it) is not the safe way. You don't transfer property to protect it, you use the EXEMPTIONS to protect assets.

Be careful here, and take time to research the ramifications of any financial decisions you make. If you are planning bankruptcy, the actions you take in the pre-bankruptcy period will be definitely be looked at.

When we went to our 341 meeting, there was someone who got reamed by the trustee because property was transferred. Be every careful and definitely consult an attorney. Good Luck
