Has anyone had a trustee (or trustee's representative) call an employer?

    Good morning!
I was wondering if anyone had an experience where a trustee called your employer before or after a 341. My 341 is on 8/8 and it hasn't happened so far but I would really rather my employer not know that I have filed bk. Since I have paystubs, I'm hoping that's all the proof they need.
    Anyone?
    Thanks in advance

Sunny, the trustee has little or no reason to call your employer. Your paystubs and tax records are proof that you are employed.

Wage garnishment would tip off your employer that you were having problems, however.

Bankruptcy is public record - so if someone were looking they could find out that you filed - but what are the chances of your employer doing that?

    You should be fine.

Mine called about wage garnishment. I found out from my attorney by accident ), and since my boss is the one that signs all the checks I ran and talked to her the minute I found out. It sucked that now my boss knows, I honestly gave a little song and dance about a little business my wife started that failed ( somewhat true ). I didn't want to go into the real reason ( stupid decisions, to many casinos and living past our means )

That is the only reason I have heard of a trustee contacting an employer, you may want to find out from your attorney if that is the way your trustee works.

      Good luck
