I don't know how I forgot to ask about this, When I file if everything goes through and all is clear, what happens to my monthly contracts ? for example Cell phone,Cable, etc etc ( I would like to keep them and keep paying) and do I have to close my bank account or will that be fine ?

You keep paying all current utilities and other contracts if you want to keep receiving the services. (And by the way, including utilities in your bankruptcy is *not* a good idea.)Originally posted by resetplz View PostWhen I file if everything goes through and all is clear, what happens to my monthly contracts ? for example Cell phone,Cable, etc etc ( I would like to keep them and keep paying)
As long as you don't have a credit card or other unsecured loan like overdraft protection with the same bank, there's no need to change your account to another bank.and do I have to close my bank account or will that be fine ?
And if you do happen to have one of these circumstances, don't close the current account - just leave $5 in it. Trustees don't like to see recently closed accounts when you file.I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice nor a statement of the law - only a lawyer can provide those.
