    I'm getting VERY p'od

I signed my petition around July 12, and the lawyer said he would file electroniclly within the week. That was weeks ago and pacer STILL has nothing. I left messages but hear nothing back.
WHY would a lawyer delay like this????
Its really starting to annoy me.

Dial the clerk of courts and see if your petition has been filed.

IF NOT, then call or make a trip to your attorneys office to find out what the problem is........

If not filed, he's dragging his feet...... or possibly on vacation before his kids go back to school.....

Patience is a virtue, but I understand your be anxious......

There's probably a good reason why its not been filed, or even pacer may be way-behind on their postings.

    Keep us posted.

Well....technically it's only been about 3 full weeks since you signed the paperwork. The 12th was on a Thurs. so more than likely they probably were not filed until the following week. Which would mean they landed in the court just two weeks ago. Sometimes some courts are backed up and the information doesn't get posted immediately. A call to your lawyer again, even asking the secretary/paralegal at the office to confirm filing would calm the nerves. If they haven't been filed, found out immediately what the hold up is.

It's hard not to get frustrated going through this process but I can guarantee you that during this...patience will be your best friend. Otherwise you will drive yourself nuts.

Lawyers never move fast unless it is in their best interest to do so. Take a deep breath and relax, you are just starting down the road to the land of Bankruptcy. Good Luck

If nothing is there In PACER, call your attorney and ask "where is my filing?"

Print out your documents, (so you can have a short conversation about the pertinent points).

          Do this asap.

I looked it was a Monday I signed, & he said he would E-file Tuesday morning. I checked it was the 9th. Im going to call and ask.
I wanted our 341 over by Sept 10 before school starts. Long story.
I am usually patient, but this lawyer draaaags out everything. It took six weeks to prepare our VERY easy no asset Ch 7 form.

(I hope you have called and made an inquiry - like, 'where is my filing' ?)

                    Lol, Hen you are funny.
I left another message. Like that makes a difference.

Yup, me bankrupt too. AND very stresses out about thousands of dollars of tree damage homeowners wont cover all of from straight line winds last weekend. The deck, small above ground pool and gazebo tent all wrecked and trees everywhere plus half chopped off. My 73 year old mother cant handle it so I try....then she gets mad at me...UGH!
