    Question about repo or surrender

I plan on filing chap 7 in the next month and have a car I plan on letting go. They are driving me crazy with the phone calls so I'm wondering, should I: I

    a) call the bank and tell them to come get the car
    b) send them a cease/desist so they will stop calling me and everybody else under the sun
    c) ignore them and see if they repo it on their own before I file
    d) wait it out

I'm leaning towards "a" but I don't want to make anything more difficult once I file.

Personally I would go with "c". Keep in mind, they can at any time repossess the car so you will not want to leave any personal effects or important items in the vehicle. But hey, you might at well use it while you got it.

I'd start with "B" and move on to "C" if the cease and desist letter sent registered/return receipt doesn't work.

Get an answering machine and caller ID, then don't answer when the car lender's number or "Private Caller" pops up. Put the phone under a pillow to muffle the rings but so you can still check caller ID to see if it's a friend or family calling rather than the "credit mafia"

Agree with BKTango's good advice to not keep anything in the car you want/need from here on out. The repo guys will take the car wherever they can get it - your work parking lot, for example.
