Hello, I'm in INdiana and am so broke I cannot afford an attorney. What do you think of filing myself. I feel comfortable doing this and have all the paperwork together.
You can do it...several people on this forum have given great advice and a website to use. We had some could go either way monthly expenses so we decided to hire an attorney. But if you dont have any of those possible questionable expenses go for it and save some money too! Good Luck!
I'm in the process of filing myself right now. As long as you have a simple case, you'll be fine! I highly recommend the Nolo Press book "How to File for Ch 7 Bankruptcy".
What's considered a simple case? I have a car repo'd and a house foreclosed on. Most everyone else has already written it off or whatever they call it. I've filled out the paperwork before when we lived in another state but didn't go through with it cuz we moved, so i'm pretty confident i have all that I need.
