    HalfWay There

I am feeling very proud today. I have reached the halfway point of my plan. 30 payments down; 30 more to go!!!!!! I am starting to see a glimmer of light at the end of the bankruptcy tunnel. If the second 30 go as easy as the first 30, I will be okay.

Congratulations! We are still in the attorney interviewing process. I can't wait till I am in your shoes. I was wondering......

Does the court really allow you enough to live on, food, clothing, gas, etc?

Were you able to save money for unforseen emergencies? (Medical bills, car repairs etc)

Did you have any increases in pay? Tax returns?

I hope I am not getting too personal. I am a information junkie and I always feel better when I am armed with all the information ( peoples experiences and facts) I can stuff into my head. Thanks

Yes. Thanks to a good attorney and a fair trustee

Yes. You have to have a budget and really stick to it, but you can put away a few dollars every month for emergencies

Did you have any increases in pay? Tax returns?

I filed under the old law. The trustee has never asked about any pay increases and has never asked for my tax returns. I asked my attorney about tax refunds when I was confirmed. He advised me that it was my money to keep. The trustee did not want it.

No problem. That is how all of us have learned about this process. I hope that this information helps, but please keep in mind, I filed under the old law. Someone that is currently in chapter 13 under the new law may have better information for you.
