when one person in a household of two files for bk and some things like cars and house are jointly owned, how will trustee handle it, the car is in both names, will the whole value of car be considered in my bk, or half the value? other than the house that we are going to let go in foreclosure i have no other assets, we are in florida

If the house is jointly owned, your spouse will be liable for any deficiency balance.
You'll get to use half the value of the car as it applies to the exemption.
